Digyo Island

We, together with my whole family didn't allow to end our summer without an overnight stay in Digyo. An island which is part of Cuato Islas (Four Islands), a group of islands belonging to the municipalities of Inopacan Leyte (Apid and Mahaba Island) and Hindang Leyte (Himokilan and Digyo Island).

We took a 44 minute drive to Inopacan Leyte, which is 54.5 km far from my hometown Maasin City.

I was greeted and had a great time with the cute locals.

If you want to visit the island, you need to prepare all the important things like food and tents because there's no local store in the area. As far as i can remember there are only two or five houses in the island, i think its where the care takers and few locals live. You also have to take a motorized banca ride to go to the island but it's quite expensive because there's no regular trip to the island unlike in Canigao Island  where trips are available anytime. In Digyo, you have to pay the whole banca for a special trip. These doesn't matter though because going there is soooo worth it!
