Alcoy is approximately 93 kilometers or 58 mi from Cebu City. It is really far from the city. that's why even though I've been in Cebu for almost five years, I have only visited Alcoy twice.
Locals said that when the Spaniards came during the Spanish era, the lushes environment and the simplicity of the place remind them so much of "Alcoi" which is a city in Spain. That's how this place got its name which is a native slang of Alcoi.
If you're planning to have an overnight stay here with your family and friends, I recommend Voda Krasna, a gorgeous yet affordable beach resort in Daan-lungsod, Alcoy.
We ended our trip with a quick visit at our friend's house in the beautiful city of Talisay, Cebu.
